Timmy and I once visited a group of embroiderers with an average age of around 60. Some of them had held a needle since the age of 12, persisting for a full 50 years; some had worked in traditional Shu embroidery factories and continued their work even after retirement; others had pursued their craft from a youthful hobby to this day. They were friends with each other, and more importantly, guardians of this art. For them, embroidery was not just a job, but a lifelong passion and a belief.

In their hands, the creation of a piece requires the passage of time. Every stitch, every thread, is an accumulation of patience and experience, a warmth that machines cannot replicate.

Our initial intention is simple—to let genuine Shu embroidery be understood and cherished. We do not pursue short-term profits, but hope to bring these works, which embody the life's work of artisans, to those who are willing to appreciate them. Because a true handmade Shu embroidery is not just an ornament; it is a work of art that can be collected and passed down through generations.

The value of Shu embroidery, like that of a classic work of art, does not depreciate with time, but rather continues to rise due to its rarity and historical significance. It can accompany one generation and be passed down to the next, becoming part of a family's memories.

What we do is simply take these authentic and precious works from the hands of embroiderers to the other side of the world. Not to turn them into commodities, but to hope they are seen, understood, and continued to be passed down.
